Wildlife Rescue 2007

Every year I tell myself I’m going to take more pictures. But it seems like I get so busy and before I know it it’s time to release many of the wild creatures without having taken any photos of them. For the year 2008 I really am going to try to stick with it and take a lot more pictures.

Some of the birds that were new to me this year were the bluebirds, the nuthatch, the cardinal and the heron. The heron has his own story on the website as well. I like to have a new type of bird or mammal every year, something I’ve never worked with before. It’s always fun to learn and experience new things.

Before too long, the 2008 baby season will be starting. Please remember that not all babies need rescuing. If you come across a wild baby that you think may need help, please call Canyon Lake Veterinary Hospital at 348-6510.
