WELL PET PROGRAM for Senior Pets
Our goal at Canyon Lake Veterinary Hospital is to provide the best possible care for your pet through out their lifetime, in order to help them have a long happy life with you. As part of this dedication to the health of your pet, we offer a senior program. This program has been developed to identify health risks before they become evident. Beginning at around age 7, your pet enters his or her senior years. Their health can change rapidly, but many of these changes go unnoticed. Our pets can develop many of the same diseases that we do.

Our Senior Program Includes:

• A complete physical examination
• A complete urinalysis
• A thorough lab panel (bloodwork)
• Core Vaccinations (Distemper and Rabies) will be given at no charge
• A second appointment with the doctor to go over results and discuss a treatment plan.

These tests and the physical exam can help to detect conditions such as diabetes, glaucoma, heart disease, liver disease, dental disease, arthritis, kidney disease, thyroid problems and cancer. Early detection is very helpful in the prevention of disease and can minimize suffering. If further tests or treatments have been recommended by the doctor, this program also provides for a $10 discount towards these treatments if done within 6 months of the initial testing.
