2012! Can you believe it? Another year has come and gone and A LOT has happened! We lost some old friends but gained new ones. Here’s some news you might not have heard. Greta had a baby! A little girl named Hailey Lynn. Greta won’t be back for a few more weeks and I’ll miss her around but we’re all so happy for her. Hopefully Hailey will love animals as much as her mommy.

This past week I’ve been teaching Stewart about New Year’s Resolutions. His is to be an even better helping hand around the clinic. You can always find him helping Jo and Lindsay clean tools and do laundry in the back. He’s even learning to turn on the faucet! Mine is probably going to be to lose a little weight. I mean, I’m perfect the way I am, but it wouldn’t hurt to lose a pound or two.

Helping your pet lose weight should be one of your resolutions too. Extra weight can cause back and knee problems and diabetes in cats and dogs. Helping your pets lose weight can be a little tricky but it’s so beneficial in the long run. Did you know that 3 extra pounds on a 10 pound cat is equal to 45 extra pounds on a 150 pound human! And 3 extra pounds on a 15 pound dog is 30 extra pounds on a human! That’s a lot!

We’re doing something new here at CLVH. It was Gia’s idea and I think it’s a great one. In our lobby we have a “Get To Know Us” board hanging up. Each week will be a different staff member of CLVH. They will add some interesting facts and cool pictures of them for you to look at to get to know the people caring for your pet even better. They’re even going to do a board for me and Stewart soon!
